At 0445, Mr. Miyagi, Dorothy and Gumbo hit the trail run, which was slightly modified due to trying not to get lost in the woods but was still ridiculously tough. Still did zig zags in the big ditch, incline sprints, log steps, wall climb, and the monkey bars and Z-wall simulation.
I had everyone stretch OYO before the 0530 training so that we can jump right into it.
Tha Thang:
This week's Spartan training was led by yours truly(thanks Betty Crocker for entrusting me to lead this week), and consisted of a route(in a clockwise rotation) that had the Pax enter the stadium from the front parking lot and turn left around the field to the back gate and going out to the pull-up bars, then back to the back gate, turning left to the other side of the stadium making their way to the front gate and out.
9 obstacles throughout the route.
In the front parking lot:
1. Atlas carry: carrying a 60lb sandbag ball back and forth
2. Sled drag from one point to another and back
3. Tire flip 10 times
4. Cindy grip carry from one point to another and back
***These were each done on the grass strip in between the parking spots
In the stadium:
5. Bucket carry climb on one side of the bleachers, along with regular bleacher climbs
6. 60lb sand bag carry on the other side of the stadium, along with regular bleacher climbs
In the back parking lot:
7. Traverse on tall pull-up bars
8. Rope climb
9. Ball grip horizontal pull-up on short bars
I believe all PAX were able to complete about 2 cycles.
