Mission: Core Meltdown

The gloom was thick, the air heavy with the weight of an unspoken challenge. Falcon stood at the starting line, eyes scanning his crew—Test Tube, LaSorda, and Reba—each ready for the unknown. This wasn’t just a workout. It was a battle against time, distance, and Falcon’s own optimism.

“One mile,” Falcon declared. “Five stops. Core destruction. Let’s move.”

The first leg was smooth—feet pounding pavement, breaths steady. They reached Stop One: 10 XY’s Kicks, 10 XO Canoes, 10 XY Sit-ups, 5 Febreezes, 10 Fox Holes. The crew knocked them out with determination.

Stop Two came quicker than expected. Muscles burned, but the mission continued. Another round of core carnage. Falcon checked his watch. “We’re good on time,” he reassured them.

Then Stop Three hit, and so did reality.

The exercises stretched longer. Fatigue set in. LaSorda muttered something about Falcon’s “elite-level time management skills,” but they all knew—this was a grind. And the clock was winning.

Falcon made the call. “Abort Stop Four. Double time it back to the flag!”

The pace surged. Test Tube dug deep. LaSorda gritted his teeth. But it was Reba who turned into a force of nature. His legs churned, his breath steady. He wasn’t just running—he was flying.

The flag came into view. Reba didn’t slow—he pushed harder, finishing strong, chest heaving but victorious.

Falcon, catching his breath, clapped him on the shoulder. “That’s how you empty the tank.”

A nod of respect from the crew. The mission wasn’t perfect, but it was completed. And next time? They’d finish what they started.

COT:
Prayers for Little Benjamin as he progresses to come home…Prayers for LaSorda and his new challenges applying for the Airforce and getting through MEPS.

COT: Always move forward. Even if the plan changes.
