Michael Phelps disclaimer, plank and dive thrus. Did some side straddle hops. Then an assortment of high knees (or Rockettes kicks), butt kicks, can openers, and lunges with trunk twist. Just trying to get blood flow going during this 32deg morning in the gloom.
Tha Thang:
Today’s workout was in honor of Master Sergeant John A. Chapman, an Air Force Combat Controller badass. MSgt Chapman was killed in action in Afghanistan on March 4, 2002, during the Battle of Takur Gar. His actions during that battle would result in the Medal of Honor.
During the battle, MSgt Chapman repeatedly exposed himself to hostile machine-gun fire while charging up a steep slope in knee-deep snow to eliminate the fortified enemy positions that had his teammates pinned down. Despite receiving several gunshot and shrapnel wounds, MSgt Chapman continued to engage the enemy in order to protect incoming helicopters, before eventually succumbing to his wounds.
To honor his legacy we attempted to do the following:
1,200 meter Run (4 laps around the football field)
100 Push-Ups
25 Broad-Jumps
100 Sit-Ups
1,200 meter Run (4 laps around the football field)

COT:
Thankfully we had Tutti Frutti post this morning to add his personal story regarding the QRF at Takur Gar. The big picture is that like at Roberts Ridge we have each other to depend on. And know that whenever anyone of us is in trouble we have like-minded men to come support or even attempt to rescue us. Appreciate Tutti for being vulnerable and sharing his story. Pretty sure not many among us in the F3 Coastal Empire knew his connection to the Battle of Takur Gar.
Happy birthday, R-6! Donuts provided by SweetNLow and coffee brought by Betty Crocker. The plan moving forward at Pooler OG is coffee Fridays. Four year anniversary at the Colosseum tomorrow at 0600 and breakfast afterwards. SYITG!
Pledge, pray (thanks Radar), and on our way!
