Miyagi and BC did a Bleacher + Trail + Bleacher run at 0450 to warmup the legs.
At 0530, disclaimer, SSH, and an overview of the course for the day.
Mosey to the field.
Tha Thang:
To prevent stacking up, we separated into two groups of four. One group started one way with the other group going the other, with the football field being the central location.
Cycle through the following stations:
* 60# Bucket Carry for 100 yds and then 45# KB bag Atlas carry for 100 yds (group 1 started here)
* Mosey to the Y playground hitting the rocks along the way
* 3 styles of monkey bars followed by the Z-wall
* Mosey back to the field hitting the rocks along the way
* 90# Sled pull OR 60# sandbag pull for 100 yds. Do this backwards if you can for a real leg burner. And as backfire pointed out, the coefficient of friction on the sandbag was much higher than the sled, so despite the 30# weight difference, both of these sucked. (Group 2 started here).
* Mosey to the pull up bars
* Rope Climb and 4 side pull up bar traverse
* Mosey back to the field for the buckets
Rinse and repeat as time allowed
Backfire managed to get the 90# sled airborne when turning at the 50 yd line because he was going so fast. BC tried this and it whipped BC around like he was the ball end of a Hammer Throw in the Olympics.

It's been fun leading the Spartan workouts every Wednesday this summer. Not always easy to come up with new ways to use those coupons, but I've enjoyed the challenge. And the workouts certainly helped me get ready for the Spartan, hope it did the same for others. These coupons will always be available for someone to use when leading a workout.
For those that haven't done a CSAUP (Completely Stupid And Utterly Pointless) event, I would strongly encourage it. Not only does it give a great physical goal to train for, but the stories and fellowship are something we all need even if we don't think we do.
Prayers for Spam and Flat Tire injuries and recoveries, patience dealing with doctors and insurance, and praise for Sweet and Low supporting his fellow F3 brothers by physically just being there for them as a ride and not being alone through these major medical events.
Prayers for safe travels and injury-free Spartan racing this weekend.
Thanks for the opportunity to lead. I just signed up for my next Q on 9/25.
