Disclaimer started with a reminder to understand as we all are enjoying the company of friends and family this holiday weekend that there are those struggling with life’s stressors. YHC’s homework assignment for the PAX in the COT is to call someone you haven’t talked to in awhile. Some of us may put on a good face but are actually hurting inside. It’s a win-win to reconnect.

We continued the warmup and might have done some slow squats, batwing routine, and through the tunnels. Now on to the thang…

Tha Thang:
YHC had seen Doorjam’s slack post of a 1776 workout to commemorate the Independence Day holiday. YHC also found another similar 1776 rep workout from another region and tweaked with some of our favorite exercises.

YHC messed up the team count with the number of PAX in attendance. It was originally supposed to be three-man teams but ended up being four-man. To get to 1776 reps we did the following exercises in order with a run to the last light pole in between rounds.

200 Merkins
200 Colosseums
200 American Hammers
200 Carolina Drydocks
200 Bonnie Blair’s
200 Stationary Bike
200 Dips
200 Mountain Man Poopers
176 Burpees
Total reps = 1776

Since we had four man teams the 200 reps were split up making it 50 reps per PAX. For the round of dips we used the big rocks at the AO and instead of sprinting back to the start we bear crawled. At the end we finished with 20 burpees per PAX present so not quite hitting 1776 on the dot but that’s ok, Gilligan wasn’t around.

Thank you Gents for the opportunity to lead! And don’t forget your homework assignment!!! #buddycheck
